Goals of Fish Hatchery Operations


Goals of General Hatchery Operations:
  1. To provide quality channel catfish to stock reservoirs and streams for the Tribal Trust (native American tribes, pueblos and nations) Responsibilities throughout U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Region 2 (i.e., Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas).
  2. To provide assistance with the restoration and recovery of selected fish species (e.g., the American paddlefish).
  3. To implement the recovery plan for the endangered Clear Creek gambusia found in the wild in only one small Texas community.
